Robert B. Light, CMA

President, Beacon Human Resources, Inc.

Robert (Bob) Light is the founder and President of Beacon Human Resources. Bob is responsible for providing strategic leadership for Beacon and the establishment of long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. He is responsible for the overall management of sales, marketing, financial and operational activites of the company and acts as advisor to client owners.

Mr. Light has over 25 years of experience developing programs and strategies in helping organizations achieve peak operational performance through financial and human resource leadership. Twice he led his previous company in achieving the "Future 50 of Greater Detroit" award in addition to other prestigious awards and accomplishments.

Bob is active in his industry at the local, regional and national level. He is the co-founder of the Association of Michigan Professional Employer Organizations (AMPEO), former Treasurer of the Midwest Association of Professional Employer Organizations (MAPEO), and served on the advisory committee for the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO).

Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and currently holds position on the advisory board for the School of Management at the University of Michigan - Flint. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), OSHA Authorized Industry Outreach Program Trainer and graduate of both Leadership Oakland and Leadership Grand Rapids.

Bob and his wife Kim have been married for over 20 years and have two children together. They reside in Clarkston and have for many years. Bob is active in leadership roles in his community and participates in several service organizations and charitable foundations. He is an avid runner having completed several marathons including the prestigious Boston Marathon.
